Modern Foods Sold In The Supermarket Are Not More Than A Cocktail Of Chemical


What is food?It is things that we consume everyday to meet our body metabolic needs.So,food's quality and health are very important because they are those things that we swallowed into our body and thus can directly influence our bodies' health...
Last time food being created or produced were just for the purpose of fulfill our bodies' need or "filling our hungry stomach"...there is no chemical or unknown things added into the food...But ,nowadays human's requirement on armamentarium has increased a lot,inevitable that requirement on food quality is also increased .Therefore,there are lots of food industry being set up continuously...and so a strong competition between manufactures exist...In order to promote and get the great demand in the market,the food produced must have a very attractive appearance and of course taste good...last but not least,a longer shelf life.
BUT,have you ever think that what on earth actually that made the foods taste so yummy and looks good?no..., right?When we are confronted by a brightly colored and attractive food item, it’s easy to ignore the actual ingredients that go into the making of the product. It is actually the 'contribution' from Mr.Chemicals...which means that we are actually consumed chemical cocktail everyday...
fewer people know that seemingly "natural" foods such as oranges and salmon are sometimes also dyed to mask natural variations in color. Color variation in foods throughout the seasons and the effects of processing and storage often make color addition commercially advantageous to maintain the color expected or preferred by the consumer. Some of the primary reasons include offsetting color loss due to light ,air,extremes of temperature,moisture,and storage conditions,masking natural variations in color, enhancing naturally occurring color, providing identity to foods, protecting flavors and vitamins from damage by light,and last but not least, decorative or artistic purpose such as cake icing.For instance,

Actually, not all the chemicals are harmful, some of them have contributed a lot in food manufacturing. Like the food preservative is added into the food product to enhance its shelf life.So,i'm agree with the statement above that modern food sold in the supermarket are not more than a cocktail of chemical.
